Dual-technology tag (2.45GHz -13.56MHz) for access control, long and proximity range

BALOGH integrates 2 RFID technologies into the one credit card size tag. Each technology can be associated with different code.

The 2.45GHz technology allows identification ranges of a few cm to 10m. The 13.56MHz technology has with a rewritable memory accessible at short distances and complies with the ISO14443 standard, such as the MIFARE® chips.

The 2.45GHz band is reserved for personnel and vehicle long-range identification.
The 13.56MHz band is used to authenticate tag holders by means of biometric controls. Typically, the saved biometric data in the tag memory is compared with the biometric obtained directly from the tag owners. Of course, any other application where there is a need to exchange contact less data with these read/write tags is possible.
In all cases, the personnel uses only one unique tag for all applications, such as conventional or biometric access control, time attendance, restaurant management,…
